Trainees finished this week with the daunting and thrilling task of delivering personal presentations and receiving feedback from tutors and peers, their first ‘mini-teach’ practise at the front of the classroom.
The sessions showcased an impressive range of interests and talents, with topics including making paper boats in French, line dancing, crisp-packet origami, why the sun is a fake, why cats are better than dogs, and even Cornish pasties!
These presentations provided an excellent opportunity for trainees to develop key teaching skills such as voice projection, body language, lesson structure and audience engagement.
