I have worked in education for over 20 years initially qualifying as a primary school teacher. After 6 years of working as an infant school teacher I moved into leadership managing a key stage and leading on literacy, assessment and teaching and learning. I led literacy training across Bristol City Council and was a specialist leader of education providing support for leaders across the city. In 2013 I was promoted to Assistant Head and Inclusion lead within a large primary school which is when I also started working within Initial Teacher Training. I took on the role of Director of ITT in 2017 leading on the development of the ‘Outstanding’ Five Counties SCITT programme.
